Threes

I had a thought last night. First I saw Leona Lewis get hit in the face at a book signing. Then I saw a dog get hit by a car. How long until I witness a third hit, and what kind of hit will it be?

Since I've been using the library for internet access, I've not been coming home until after dark. I've been coming through Fairlands Valley, even though it's very dark, as most of the paths aren't lit. Tonight it seemed even darker than before. I only just managed to see a couple of people on the path. I really need to get some lights.

Especially since, when I reached the final part of my journey, which is the only road where there's no cycle path, I was worried that I had no lights and decided to cycle on the footpath where there just happened to be a police car dealing with something else, and I was told off by an officer and issued with a £30 fixed penalty.
